A Paramotor offers a new range of opportunities to the amazing sport of paragliding. This course is aimed at giving you the broadest range of skills possible. Both Andrew and Cedar are competent Paramotor Pilots with many 100km + cross country flights in the local area as well as in other states. Consequently we have a reputation for being able to offer more to our students than any other school in Australia . Our training areas are varied. Both near the coast and at inland low traffic airstrips which means you get the complete range of conditions to learn the necessary skills. As with all Poliglide courses this course is self paced. So even though we promote progression, you don’t get ticked off on requirements until you are ready. We have found that three days of training is the average amount of time required to complete the HGFA’s criteria for this endorsement. The course normally comprises of three days of training which in our experience is best spread over 5 days., but in most cases 2 weekends. We have successfully taught the first woman to be certificated in Australia . Jan Smith and Glen her husband are now on the Poliglide display team. Her involvement in the sport and attitude for flying are testament of the high level of commitment we give to our students as well as the superior equipment we use. We wont tell you how old she is,,, but Jan became a grandmother in June 2009! Go Jan!! Poliglide also offers VHF Radio Courses. We strongly recommend you purchase a text book if you are thinking about doing this endorsement. We regularly take pilots referred to us from other paragliding schools around Australia which is testament to our reputation. We take endorcments very seriously, especially the cross country which is our excuse to come flying with you! We use the best paramotors, paragliders and communication gear available during the training. Fresh Breeze is the largest most established manufacturer world wide with an output of over 1000 paramotors per year and boasts the DULV (German Ultra Light Certification) certification on all models. This is the highest level of certification world wide. The reliability, certification and quietness of these motors make them world leaders. We have our very own mobile purpose built simulator. Our sessions in the simulator are priceless and have become just another feature of our premium course. We strongly recommend you purchase a copy of Risk and Reward from our shopping cart if you are thinking about doing the change over to motorised flying. Also available is ‘The Powered Paragliding Bible volume 2’ which is the best text currently available world wide. At Poliglide we are very serious about our motorized Paragliding courses.
